Le Mont St Michel
One of the major monuments of interest in France, Mont St. Michel is the second most visited place in all of France after the Eiffel Tower.

Saumur
Saumur castle with its four powerful towers, stands out against the sky. It is  also home to 2 museums - the Decorative Arts Museum with a beautiful  collection of items from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, and the Museum  of the Horse - with the history of the horse throughout the world.

 
 

Le Mans
Le Mans, one of the most attractive cities in Loire Valley. Visit its famous motor race circuit  well known for its 24 hour car race every June. It has also much historic interest. The automobile museum here has a collection of vintage cars.  Vieux Mans is the old town partly fortified by 3rd to 4th-century Gallo-Roman walls.  The longest Roman wall in France is here.

 
 

Fougéres

Between Brittany, the Loire area and Normandy, Fougéres castle has played an essential strategic role. Its construction, started at the end of the 10th century and lasted 400 years.  About 1,000 years ago, the town developed at the foot of the castle which was built to defend the duchy of Brittany. The medieval quarter has kept several houses with wooden sections and narrow alleyways. In Marchix square the 17th century houses have not changed since the Middle Ages.
